Yea you don't buy at the ask go mid and try your luck. You may have to move up from mid a bit just depends on how hard the MM wants to ream ya
For the record, I also remember a bet like this from the past. The trouble is that you have to know when he is serious and when he isn't. Usually he just shoots his mouth off and makes a bet. This isn't a valid bet for him yet. You have to outline the particulars and get him to agree on terms that are clearly laid out.
In your case, I think he was just making random bets about your account size trying to insult you. You were of course right, but I don't think he took the bet seriously like he does at other times when the terms are clearly laid out.
But I do caution you to be careful. He will want to see your personal details. If he offers to send you money, don't use paypal because he will then have your identity for future use. I would only accept a crypto payment to be honest, and that is assuming you know what you are doing with regards to receiving it and conserving your privacy.
I remember when he paid out to Sweet Bobby, he showed way too much information from Bobby. Maybe Bobby himself didn't care, but I didn't like that too much personal info was exposed. Its almost like you get the money, but then have to go into hiding because he still wants to have one up on you.
There is a way to prove your account size via a video but not pan the camera across your name and account number. I showed a sample video of this a while back that Dest said would be acceptable.

This is a trading forum, not an entertainment forum.
Advertisers promote their business here because this is where traders congregate.
So the target audience are traders, Trading noobs I imagine would be a big part of it and also the more professional traders on ET with brokerage and software and data.
If you under-moderate a forum, it gets out of hand, this attracts more rowdy participants and serious traders will leave due to harassment and Advertisers will leave, it becomes a vicious cycle of talent leaving which encourages more poor quality of content.
IMO, the moderation on ET is too lax and unevenly distributed.
Basically there are two groups of people on ET, those who are serious and those who aren’t.
ET is crawling with political trolls. IMO politics and religion and chitchat and other non trading forums should be shut down, all they do is encourage a lot of idiots to remain on ET.
Some posters seem to spend their entire posting life in these sections.
They need booting off ET pronto imo.
They will never spend a cent on ET advertisers. You just need to look at Musk and Twitter to see what happens to poor moderation, unruliness and advertisers leaving.
So, getting back to Dest, he was reprimanded (too harshly) by Baron by removing his rights to blocking people on ET.
This punishment has gone on for far too long and all it has done is created resentment I would imagine, I’m not surprised he’s angry on ET, I would be too.
Here’s a guy who can contribute greatly to ET knowledge and a lifetime blocking ban is administered while fuckwits are allowed to run rampant.
So it boils down to moderation, Dest can do no worse in terms of moderating strictly as against no moderation, just look at this dogs breakfast thread, if Dest were moderating then this shit show of a thread wouldn’t have turned out this way.

If this guy is allowed to be a moderator, he will post a screenshot saying he made 2.54% trading vol and everyone has to cheer. Next, he will post a picture with a line and someone says it’s the holy grail of options trading. Everyone will salute hail Dest! Others who ask for an explanation will be treated like dems in rump rally and escorted out. His followers will be fleeced in terms of money or their time and energy. They will find out sooner or later that there is no secret superior way to trade. It’s not their fault. They just want to make it without putting any effort. They are told the reason they are not getting any content is because of people who oppose the dictatorship.
Strangely, this is a world wide phenomenon. People like this are raising and platforms like this are enabling. This voting, this rallying the base, this attitude, mentality, name calling, bullying, bull shitting etc. everything is the same.
