I assume this is because Market Makers have everything priced in and the only way to make money is from unexpected changes in vol and/or price? You essentially have to outsmart their model?

Edit: Ya, I'm on TOS right now looking over options prices and it seems that you will never making money just buying options as they're efficiently priced. Okay, so the name of the game is to find out where their model breaks down and profit from it. Thanks for the heads up.

options are generally priced well. There’s billions of dollars chasing alpha so information will be priced in pretty fast. But not always.

It seems to me that the only people who understand what you are saying aren't the people who need help. Furthermore, the only ones who understand what you are saying you seem to already actively interact with in your private discord server.

Maybe options just aren't for 98% of traders, which is fine. But in the rare case where you actually post a trade that many of us can understand, its generally just a hedge for your main position, so you say you don't even care how your purely directional bet in a futures contract turns out.

I'm therefore at a loss trying to figure out who you will actually help. What is it that you get out of coming to ET that you don't get from the interaction with successful traders in your discord?

His writing style is not for the faint of heart,and there are times when I don't get what he's saying,and I was an MD on a derivatives desk (head trader)..

With that said,he offers gold every now and then,and that's all one can ask for...IMHO

If you read his old threads you'll understand more of his newer trades and language. If you use the search bar you'll see him answering questions describing one of his strategies as shown bellow. He's already answered the same questions over and over for many years and posted countless trade examples. Just use the search bar as others have done, including myself.
