Hah, thanks to your post, I now do recall that scene in T2 with the Atari gadget. I never knew it was an actual device manufactured by them called the "Portfolio". And I used to be an Atari fan.
Yeah, same device. Awesome for the time. Later I worked for a bank where I was the first trader issued a Metriplex24 on the HP200LX(?).
Edit: I am pretty sure it was simply called the Pocket PC at the time. At least in the US. I don't recall the "Portfolio" moniker.

Well, look at it this way. IRAs are a very old invention, like the Atari Portfolio. So you can show us your new 2020 journal on a Portfolio, rather than on one of these fancy new "computers" they have been shoving down our throats. Teehee.
