Destriero writing here (Risk Arb, Atticus et al) contributed a lot to my learning, and as I feel that I am finally getting a grasp on volatility... I am very grateful.
There are a few other users I respect and I am grateful for, and most of them know dest or acknowledge his skills here.
Sometime I feel he can be nasty on some users, but after more than a decade here, there is history with some of them, and he has to deal with stalkers, trolls and idiots.
I don't think all users who have a problem with his online carachter belong to these categories, but many do.
The fact that he is not allowed to block users is unfair, as the same reason for the ban is used and abused by others.
I wonder why he bothers to share sometime, but we are all wired differently. Although, I think most of the good stuff in terms of sharing belongs to the archive... You have to have the antenna up to pick up the good stuff in the middle of this jungle right now.
But some pearls are still dropped here and there, sometime in the middle of trolls bs busting and irony.
Probably the ego part is what I have to be thankful for his sharing with us strangers.
