I f Bruce can get the ESPN Courage Award, it should come as no surprise that Colin gets named citizen of the year. File this under Oh How the Mighty have Fallen.
Tony says yahoo sports, espn and the nfl all said the bears had 61 thou yesterday. They all got it from the nfl.
Which would be right? The nfl claiming there were 61 thousand fans or the Chicago Bears themselves who spilled the beans and said there were 61 thousand paid fans but over five thousand of them didn't show up and there were only 55 thou in the stands.
Would the Bears concoct a longer story to explain the real attendance, one that makes them look worse, or would the nfl try to omit that little fact.
This goes a long way towards proving that the NFL is lying to cover for the unpatriotic thugs they employ.

The issue is that the NFL has always reported paid attendance (tickets sold) -- this allowed teams to prevent themselves from being "blacked out" in their TV markets due to low attendance. In the last week has the NFL suddenly switched to reporting actual "turnstile attendance"? I very much doubt it.
