DeSantis: The Authoritarian

Ron DeSantis displays the Republican commitment to the free market and corporate autonomy- unless the company does something they don't like. You know like not wanting applications on their platform associated with endless hate speech.

NPC claims he stands for Free Speech, yet supports companies that don't - so long as they boycott speech the NPC hates.

As I outlined previously, DeSantis and Florida lawmakers will be using Bob Iger's return as an excuse to reverse their hasty decision to dissolve the reedy Creek district. It was never about "Woke Disney" -- it was all about the former Disney CEO speaking up about human rights and challenging the authoritarian.

As I mentioned earlier -- Iger would have two top priorities in regards to Florida which he would pursue quietly (at least initially for a few months) -- the number one priority was negotiating a termination of the Reedy Creek takeover while privately promising DeSantis to make no public statements attacking him or his policies while he ran for president in 2024.
