I strongly disagree with this. While more research needs to be done, I see lab grown meat as the future. I see lab grown food as the future in general. Everybody is worried about GMOs when toxins are already in our water/soil where food is grown/grazed. Food is an extremely expensive part of the living experience and this can be what brings us some deflation and increases lower/middle class living standards. DeSantis isn't banning lab grown meat, because he's concerned about our diet. He's banning them, because he's a corporate shill who doesn't care for innovation/free-market competition, protecting Florida's meat industry who I'm sure gives him plenty of money. Notice how he's not banning sugar producers which has become by far our number one unnecessary addiction and completely disastrous to the world's health.
I dont think anyone would equate Florida with NY..
I was born and raised in NY but had a presence in FL since the 1980s (yes long before Ronnie) and Washington D.C. area as well last 25 years.

So what is DeSantis’s angle? His authoritarian laws have crumbled, losing in repeated court cases, and DeSantis has been forced to back away from measures such as his signature book ban. He’s probably eyeing the 2028 race and hoping to stay in Trump’s favor, having endorsed Trump right after he dropped out of the current presidential race.
Trump’s campaign desperately needs the cash, as nearly a third of his campaign donations have gone to pay the former president’s legal bills. He has even resorted to selling the use of his likeness to other political campaigns.
