Fortunately on Sunday the first vaccinations of children under five started in Florida . These were sponsored by Miami-Dade County -- which got doses directly allocated by the Biden administration -- in defiance to Gov. DeSantis.

Of course most pediatrician offices who ordered doses for young children on Friday, June 17th will not get them until early July.

All of this serves to underline DeSantis taking healthcare decisions out of the hands of parents and attempting to dictate his authoritarian views onto parents. Of course, his Covid-19 vaccine positioning is nothing more than DeSantis attempting to play to his base for a 2024 Presidential run.
