So in summary. Experts have outlined in complete detail:
  • Florida faces enormous legal obstacles in taking over the RCID
  • The local counties will have to take on over 1 Billion in debt if Florida does take over the RCID
So basically either:
  • DeSantis is "smart" and is merely doing this for political posturing to raise campaign money and to increase his 2024 chances. Especially with the RCID change proposed to take place in mid-2023 it will not impact 2022 voting. Basically DeSantis knows there is no possible way to takeover the RCID and is being completely disingenuous.
  • DeSantis is "dumb" and is too stupid to realize that there is no way to overcome the legal & financial hurdles to takeover the RCID. He shot from the hip merely to score political points and the entire situation will come back to bite him unless he backs down or the intervention of courts make the entire RCID takeover proposal mute.
Either way -- DeSantis is either totally disingenuous or dumb as rocks.

Or DeSantis has a plan to do something you and I haven't thought of. I agree, one of these three things is possible. But what is certain, is that you and I don't know. And of the two of us, only one is claiming he knows.
