"DeSantis for the win" --New day, new record. Cases appear to be doubling on overnight many days.
Someone in Florida needs to start doing the math. Even if Omicron is 70% less severe than Delta in terms of hospitalizations, when a state has an astronomical number of cases due to no proper public health policies -- it is just a matter of time until the hospitals are overwhelmed and the death toll reaches new peaks. But the DeSantis administration does not really give a shiat about this as evidenced by his complete silence in addressing Omicron for over two weeks.
