DeSantis for the win

Yeah, the "northeastern phenomenon" is called winter.

If the nature of this virus isn't obvious to you by now then I'll just explain it like I would to a golden retriever.

People go indoors in the winter. This virus has its best chance of transmission indoors with multiple people present. Areas of the country getting hit by winter are also going to see increased infection rates.

Florida, which is oppressively hot and humid in the summer, sees much of its population heading outdoors in the winter. People I've met here join a gym in June and quit in October to head outside for running, cycling, surfing etc. So its totally the opposite of the northeast and you can see it in the infection rates.

It has little to do with Covid policies, the biggest driving factor is TIME SPENT INDOORS WITH OTHERS.

In today’s “woke” society, there’s nothing “common” about “common sense”. Why you would try to interject it into these discussions??

Yep... DeSantis's surgeon general is just as stupid as you thought he is. But facts don't matter in Florida -- only projections of fiction.

First some background.... two monoclonal antibody treatments manufactured by Regeneron and Eli Lilly are totally ineffective against Omicron. Only a third monoclonal antibody treatment, Sotrovimab, is effective against Omicron.

Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo accused the Biden administration of "actively preventing the effective distribution of monoclonal antibody treatments" in the United States, according to a Tuesday letter addressed to Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra.

The Biden administration recently paused shipments of COVID-19 antibody treatments manufactured by major drug companies Regeneron and Eli Lilly amid claims that such treatments are not effective against the omicron variant of the coronavirus.

The federal government continues to supply Sotrovimab, a monoclonal antibody from the company Glaxosmithkline, which reportedly does work against omicron.

Looks like snowbirds from NY and NJ brought it to Florida.
