"DeSantis for the win" - Has his staff abuse, intimidate, and threaten mainstream reporters who create factual stories regarding him. The reporter is now getting death threats (and this is just the most recent example of this behavior). DeSantis is nothing more than thin-skinned bully and his appointed staff emulate his desires.

On Friday Associated Press executive VP and chief operating officer Daisy Veerasingham — recently announced as the next AP president and CEO — sent a letter to the governor calling out “the actions of your press secretary this week that were both dangerous and in conflict with the spirit of Florida’s constitutional protections for freedom of speech and of the press.”

“Using her Twitter account, Christina Pushaw threatened a journalist, retweeted other threats against that journalist and issued a call to action against The Associated Press. This is unacceptable behavior from a government employee,” Veerasingham writes. “This type of harassing behavior can cause great harm.”


UPDATE: Pushaw has reportedly been suspended from Twitter for 12 hours.

This is not the first time that Pushaw and others on DeSantis' staff have abused reporters, whistleblowers, and members of the public --- causing them to fear for their lives as the death threats piled on. Pushaw's Twitter account should be permanently deleted for this behavior.
 
Latest data suggests almost 1500 people died due to Covid in a week in Florida. "Tsing Tao" was making fun of forecasts of 400-600 people in a week. Seems he doesn't have a fucking clue what is going on. Worst week for that stat in the entire pandemic.

Ok so the most recent number is just under 1500 for the week. So the 400-600 forecasts that you referred to were REALLY LOW. Fuck you really stepped into that one. But we all know you've been pretending that everything's cool in Tampa while thousands of students are getting quarantined and the schools just opened. Why they need an emergency meeting then ?

Once again let's outline that four states; Florida, Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota stopped providing daily COVID reports this summer. Two of these states; South Dakota and Nebraska started providing daily COVID reports again. This leaves Florida and Iowa as the only states in the U.S. not providing daily COVID reports. Only one of these two states is a current epi-center of COVID in the U.S. Can someone explain why DeSantis has not required that Florida start providing daily COVID reports?

So... some followup. Ron DeSantis supports his staff abusing and threatening reporters over factual news stories. All the while pushing more fiction as part of his continual narrative for Trump's base.

While we are at it... can someone tell me why Regeneron which should only be injected at approved medical facilities meeting appropriate cleanness standards is being given out in a Florida library where people are lying on the floor screaming in pain.
