Many people moving to Florida are registering as Republicans because lockdowns in blue states caused them to reevaluate being a Democrat, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) said Wednesday.

“So it’s interesting with Florida, like, the media at the beginning of this said, ‘Florida is bad,’ and I think it’s because they wanted to damage Trump in Florida, wanted to damage me, so they just kept saying it was bad, even though the facts didn’t say it,” he said during a town hall event on Fox News Channel’s Hannity:

I'd like to understand how he came to this conclusion. If it is merely what he believes then fine. But if he is going to state it as fact, where is the data? Because as much as I'd like to believe it, I'm not so sure.

I very much doubt it. I fully expect to take a cruise in October unvaccinated.

You say this like I give a damn about what you think of DeSantis. I don't care if DeSantis caves or not, and no one else does. What matters - which is what I said from the beginning - is that cruise business will be present in Florida. Like I said it would be.

Similar to Texas -- most businesses and schools in Florida will ignore the anti-masking stupidity from their governor. Defying DeSantis to sue the businesses if he doesn't like their stance.
