DeSantis for the win

Florida unemployment. Significantly better month over month. States like NJ got worse, NY stayed the same (month over month with no change is not reported but the data is available on the BLS website). DeSantis gets it.

Each populated area has their own mask mandate. As for lockdowns, they don't work.

Florida slipped to #15 in the deaths per 1M pop chart. For the win.

DeSantis does not allow counties and cities to enforce mask mandates in Florida.

Lockdowns work very well when done properly... go ask New Zealand.

But Florida is too busy wheeling bodies out of nursing homes to worry about this. Thanks to Gov. DeSantis placing no restrictions on nursing home visits and allowing families to take grandma & grandpa from/to the home without any COVID testing. On top of his "isolation centers" paid for your tax dollars to a GOP donor with a kickback history.

Why does Florida's unemployment suck so bad when compared to other states. If DeSantis' no-lockdown policies to promote the business environment in Florida worked then unemployment would be much better than most states.

The Laissez Fairey will fix it, just give it time. If luckily I'm right six months from now, you'll accept my 20/20 vision.

So he doesn't allow counties and cities to arrest and fine people? Good. That's the way it should be. Nevertheless we have a mask mandate inside all retail locations (other than restaurants when you're eating). And everyone follows these requirements. i've not seen someone inside without a mask in over half a year. So what is lacking?

They sure work to crush your economy. NZ had the highest unemployment rate on record there in September. and then there's GDP output:

But hey, the cold virus is under control!

Can you show that the deaths per capita are worse here than other states? You tried with the AARP thing and that kinda blew up in your face.

I think you better go read the AARP material again about the nursing homes in Florida.

Perhaps you had better read my detailed post on the material that showed Florida much better than the national average and better than - ahem - North Carolina (as an example).

So I ask now what I asked back then (which you never answered). Can you show me how DeSantis's policies are having any worse an effect in Florida than anywhere else? Using your source? Hell, any other source is fine, too.

And once again....

Let's get back to what the actual AARP report published on October 14th actually said:

A national COVID “dashboard” released Wednesday by AARP shows that the death rate of Florida nursing-home residents over a recent four-week period exceeded the national average.

The AARP online site, which looks at nursing-home data for four weeks ending Sept. 20, shows that 1.38 of every 200 nursing home residents in Florida died from COVID-19. Nationally, about one out of every 200 nursing home residents died from COVID-19.

I would urge people to read the entire AARP report from Florida to get better context and information:
https://www.aarp.org/content/dam/aa...nursing-home-dashboard-november-2020-aarp.pdf

Nursing homes with confirmed cases - Florida is worse than the U.S. average - 33.7% versus U.S. 25.7% (four weeks)
Nursing homes with confirmed staff cases - Florida is worse that the U.S. average - 61.1% versus U.S. 52.6% (four weeks)

Your link goes no where.

This was the latest data on the AARP report. It would seem that the red dot is below the purple square. Or do I not read the chart correctly?

Yes... the November report you site only includes data up to mid-October. You better take a look at more recent information. As outlined in all of your local Florida media sources the situation is looking bleak.
