In my opinion we wrong people are doing the working right now.
In my opinion, the quant guys are the exact people who should be running the data, doing the studies and presenting that data and the findings to the people.
explaining what they found, what they can rule out and what they can't.
Then true infectious disease experts coupled with business types and real medical pros who have been dealing with Covid in hospitals should be presenting scenarios and courses of action.
Then our politicians should be making decisions.
Instead we have moron governors and political operatives like Fauci making decisions.
Decisions which have led to a massive second outbreak and yet these morons are at it again making decisions without sharing data and studies.

This would sort of put a damper on the idea of locking people down.
It makes a strong case that family units should be locked down together and not be out mingling with others.
So when they go to the grocery store, the doctor, the gas station, the pharmacy, and so on and so on...they're still out and about.

The entire concept of a lockdown is to stop people from unnecessarily from going out and keeping external contacts to a minimum. One should not be going out to socially mingle with others during a lockdown.
The good thing is that people are smartening up at this lunacy. Governments trying to cancel Thanksgiving and Christmas are being told where to stuff the turkey and people are ignoring it. The law isn't going to enforce it so politicians have made themselves completely and totally feckless, all the while the Chicken Littles of the Virus World are screaming for everyone to pay attention, posting articles by the boat load about how bad things are and everyone is just ignoring them and moving on with their life.
