Good. No kids die from this and all it does is create panic and shut schools down with start and stop behavior. If your child is immuno-compromised and shouldn't be in school, you have the option to virtual learn. If your family has people who are susceptible, your child can virtually learn.

So I support this decision 100%.

You do realize that schools are closing due to COVID all over Florida. It only took a couple weeks in session for the disaster to become widespread. But the DeSantis administration believes the best path is to hide the data on schools.

Remember, that is deaths as reported. This is deaths as of the date of death. Much better curve.

Infection rate ticking up (and will likely tick up further as schools are reopened). Right now, comfortably below 1.

Positivity rate continues to remain subdued.

and the most important chart of all:

Showing that those 54 and younger are more likely to die of car accidents and other rare events than COVID. Those under 20 are more likely to drown or get hit by lightning.

DeSantis causing all sorts of issues in Spain right now.

And DeSantis always hated the French.

Point was that all countries will get their resurgence of the virus as they open up. Because locking down solves nothing.

The good thing about a scam is that it is eventually outed as a scam.

Here's one way to lower your state's COVID death rate.... have your administration declare that medical examiners can no longer certify COVID deaths.

Then claim "independent doctors" will do this.... but don't hire a single (not one) independent doctor to do this.

From what I gather this would only result in a higher death rate, not a lower one. The Medical Examiners Commission said they can't keep up. The deaths will still be counted as COVID if the doctors say they are (and what doctor is going to deny themselves the COVID relief?)

Good luck with that assertion. If you don't have medical examiners certifying deaths as COVID then you will have fewer deaths attributed to COVID.

The other amusing part of this entire "medical examiner" situation is that the state is claiming that they are having fewer COVID deaths while at the same time claiming medical examiners can no longer certify COVID deaths because they are overwhelmed with bodies.
