Florida is a tourist destination and always will be but the state has changed in the last few decades. It seems less reliant on tourism and there is a lot more industry now. I've been amazed at how many hedge funds and financial service firms there are in Palm Beach. There is a great deal of aerospace that has nothing to do with NASA and so is independent of that boom/bust cycle. The place grew up and hit critical mass.

The Disney issue is moot because they will very quickly have new management. They built their reputation painstakingly over a long period of time and so there has been some trust placed in Disney by parents. Current management is setting that trust aflame.

I clearly said why are you going to be a pussy just because Disney criticized you..... has nothing to do with what the law was about or what the issue is...

My point is Disney critisized him and he goes full pussy...... who cares... politicians get criticized. He wants to attack one of the largest reasons to visit central florida and a company who provides hundreds of millions because they sad something about him? GTFOH

Also Disney brings in hundreds of millions of dollars in tax revenue and tourist dollars.... I dont think tax breaks are a net loss for the state. There is a hotel tax added on by the state to every stay at a Disney resort.....those resorts are pretty full all year long and there are like 10-12 hotels. $$$$$.

Disney can say whatever they want but pussy move if Desantis wants to be petty about a criticism.

yeah we all know that aint happening and no politician will survive if they attack the goose that lays the golden egg...Disney is still Florida' largest taxpayer at over half a billion in taxes a year... plus all the related taxes. Colorado just trying to look woke :).
 
Was bored during a conference call. States ranked by unemployment improvement from pre-pandemic (March 2020) to now (March 2022). Florida #11. Blue states mostly near the bottom. I'm sure there's a correlation somewhere with pandemic response :)
