Let's see what the Miami Herald has to say about Comrade DeSantis...

Comrade DeSantis throws the legislative book at businesses trying to stay COVID-free

Excellent. ---Ron is working to prevent businesses, which includes numerous Marxists, from stealing American's liberty,

Not when it steals liberty from Americans.

Americans have the liberty to go work someone place else if they don't like the work policies...

you obviously have never had a real job so understand your position.

RESTAURANT: No shirt no shoes no service
B1S2: But my liberty!!!!

EMPLOYER: You need to show up at 9AM
B1S2: But my liberty

AIRLINE: No SMOKING
B1S2: But my Liberty!!!!

You dont like the vaccine mandate by the employer or meet one of their exclusions or agree to testing, then you are free to find another job.. that is liberty!

For the most part, I would agree with you. The private market should solve this - meaning if a business wants to force their employees to be vaccinated against COVID 19, they should. If people don't like it, they could go to another company.

The issue is that the federal government is forcing the mandate, not the business. The "no shirt, no shoes" is not a federal law, or even a state law. Businesses decided to put that in place. Some businesses don't even have that.

So its not really an apples to apples comparison to use.

Additionally, when the state government disagrees with the federal mandate/law (and lets face it, there IS no federal mandate yet) what happens then? The Federal government considers pot smoking illegal. What about Colorado or California?

Its not as clear cut an argument as you're trying to make. But I do agree that businesses should be able to determine who works for them without interference from the government (Federal or State).

DeSantis said he wants a ban on any private employer putting in a vaccine mandate, says nothing about only federal mandated vaccines.... any private employer whether falling under the federal mandate or not.

I already said numerous times that I dont agree with the federal mandate for private employers but DeSantis is going full hypocrite saying he does not want ANY employer having a vaccine mandate.

I think it is clear cut on that front. He is a typical politician that cannot keep his hypocrisy straight and keeps stepping on his own shit.

Your analogies aren't anywhere close to what I'm discussing. 2 of them affect customers, not employees and directly affect other patrons. The 3rd is an expectation of proper job performance/reliability. Getting a vaccine only protects you, it does not affect other employees as vaccinated folks spread the disease as much, or more, than unvaccinated folks. Could you be out sick with Kung Flu and affect productivity of the workplace? Certainly, but you could also be out sick with any number of other maladies and we don't check for those. ---Employers mandating vaccines is unconstitutional and immoral. It is stealing liberty. It's interesting that the Marxists who claim that pro-choice is the proper way to go, have no problem pushing no-choice when it fits their ugly narrative.

Right, and I'm telling you that I disagree with DeSantis here. But I'd also say that if an employer is putting a mandate on because they feel the Federal government is pressuring them, that's not the same thing as the business wanting the mandate (like no shirt and shoes).

I already said numerous times that I dont agree with the federal mandate for private employers but DeSantis is going full hypocrite saying he does not want ANY employer having a vaccine mandate.

That's great. I don't agree with it either. But if DeSantis feels he has to neutralize the momentum that Biden is trying to gain by claiming he will issue an EO (but not doing it because he knows it will likely face a steep challenge in the SCOTUS) then I understand the move.

There is no mandate yet from Biden in effect so DeSantis wants be a hypocrite and tell businesses what to do with their own private place of employment. he wanted to tell cruise ships they could not enforce mandates and he lost.

I think it is clear cut on that front. He is a typical politician that cannot keep his hypocrisy straight and keeps stepping on his own shit.

Ok, well you're certainly entitled to your opinion.
