DeSantis for the win

As noted earlier the first 38 cases or so of Delta found in North Carolina were contact traced with a direct Florida connection (i.e. these people came from Florida). After this they gave up contact tracing the Delta cases since the volume was increasing greatly.

Who gives a shit what was traced to North Carolina through some contact tracer? Only you.

Indians coming through the southern border almost certainly brought Delta into the country. In numbers far greater than 38 cases. What a joke you are!

Complete nonsense -- show us a single example of an Indian crossing the southern border in 2021 who was apprehended by the U.S. Border Patrol.

And why is that the "proper" graph? Because it shows what you want it to?

Are you disputing that the people didn't die ? We can easily explain why your charts are meaningless in recent weeks. You carry on posting dumb ass opinions based on that data, clueless as to why you can't really do that.

Now let's be very clear here, you were only days ago trying to make fun of me for suggesting that the 7 day average death rate in Florida had risen three weeks in a row. In reality, it did. How stupid does that make you ? Go ahead, claim deaths peaked on August 12th again. Let's look at Florida's death counts a month or two from now. I guarantee you they won't show they turned down sharply on August 12th. Yet you actually believed that !!!

Yes, I do. I think when all is said and done, the overall COVID numbers will be relatively the same in the North. In some states, it will be better, and in some it will be worse.

The only question I have for you is, what will YOU say if it is as bad? Will you change your tune or stubbornly hold to flawed principles?

Will it be DeSantis' fault there, too?

You made the same claim about Canada last year. Never happened. Canada's death rate is not much more then a third of Florida's death rate. That includes every season. I haven't seen you admit you were wrong on this yet. You throw out meaningless excuses instead. Last winter you tried to highlight any increase in cases and deaths in Canada without even realizing a bad week in Canada would be a good week in Florida.

Edit, the southern border is a huge national security risk.

And yet the actual border patrol statistics for 2021 reporting country of origin reflect none of this.

Time to take a look at reliability of "Political Insider"

These clowns back to their "illegals brought delta to pristine Florida" clownshow again?

cons: force remain open for business
also cons: anti-mask tourists couldn't possibly....

If the Indians brought in the Delta variant.....then let the people die.
fuckem.

Florida breaks its record for daily COVID-19 deaths -- again

The state of Florida has broken its record for the highest daily average in COVID-19 deaths yet again.

The Miami Herald reports that Florida on Thursday reported 1,338 new COVID-19 deaths, and the state has also averaged 325 deaths a day for the last week, which the paper calls "a record high."

And unlike other states that were hit early with the delta variant of the novel coronavirus, Florida has not seen a significant decline in cases and is now averaging more than 22,000 new cases per day.

Florida also still has nearly 15,000 residents hospitalized with COVID-19, which accounts for roughly one quarter of all people hospitalized in the state.

Noting his string of losses in nearly every single one of his Covid court cases we will see how this turns out for Gov. DeSantis.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis appeals ruling on masks in schools
A judge last week ruled that DeSantis exceeded his authority by ordering school boards not to impose mask requirements on students to combat the spread of the coronavirus.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has appealed a judge's ruling that the governor exceeded his authority by ordering school boards not to impose strict mask requirements on students to combat the spread of the coronavirus.

The governor's lawyers took their case Thursday to the 1st District Court of Appeal in Tallahassee. DeSantis wants the appeals court to reverse last week's decision by Leon County Circuit Judge John C. Cooper, which essentially gave Florida's 67 school boards the power to impose a student mask mandate without parental consent. Cooper's ruling was automatically stayed by the appeal.
