DeSantis is a sheep for his base and if his base does not want safe buildings he will give them what they want.
I wonder if there are laws in Florida about what part of the government is supposed to enforce building standards ...
And the state sets the standards including re-inspection timeframes.
i wonder if DeSantis who suddenly has balls to make up laws affecting federal regulation of interstate commerce and the internet now suddenly is dickless when it comes to buildings in his state:
Miami-Dade and Broward counties are the only Florida counties that require aging high-rises to go through a reinspection after they reach 40 years of age. No other Florida counties mandate routine inspection after a building is built.
DeCantis basically said not my problem to get the State involved even though the local government has chosen to wash their hands of the whole thing....where people died.
