Let's see how the COVID fight is going recently in Florida. However "fight" is a misnomer since DeSantis is doing nothing to "fight" the virus, he is freely letting it spread.

The latest national data shows nearly half of new coronavirus infections are in five states, including Florida.
University of South Florida epidemiologist Jason Salemi says Florida's seven-day average of daily new infections rose 20% in the past two weeks. In some counties, it's even higher.
What is the reason for the apparent resurgence?
"It's probably a mixture of an increase in the more contagious variants we have in Florida coupled with the fact that we're probably relaxing some of the mitigation strategies that we know are efficacious," Salmei said.
Earlier this year, Florida's average weekly positivity rate dropped from 13.3% in January after the holidays and decreased to 5.7% in mid-March. It is now back up to 7% for the past week.
"The most pronounced increase in the past two weeks has been in that 18 to 24 age group," Salmei said.
The fact that young adults appear to most affected by the resurgence has led to a boost in efforts to get them vaccinated.
The Unversity of Central Florida opened an on-campus vaccination clinic Wednesday. Students getting vaccinated hoped to set an example for their peers.
"I understand the hesitation, it's all very new but it's something you can do to help someone else have a shot at a healthy life," Erin Schaffer said.
The rise in new cases is putting pressure on the federal government to consider changing how it distributes vaccines by sending more doses to hot spots like Florida.
Dr. Salemi says that would make sense.
"I'm always going to be in favor of having more vaccine doses and encouraging everybody who is eligible to go out and get vaccinated," Salemi said.

FL#28 in total deaths per 1M pop. This got slightly better.
Absolutely nothing to be concerned about - unless you want to push fear like some do.
