4049 new cases in Florida yesterday!!!
Almost 30% of ALL cases in Florida has come in past 10 days. But there are still people amongst us that claim curve has been flattened and everything is normal.
Beach was beautiful. Be careful with the sharks, saw quite a few. Quarantine brought them closer to shore
@Tsing Tao
Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I was at the beach this weekend on Saturday, enjoying the beautiful white sand (is it racist or can I say that still?) and blue green water. Took out a friend's water bike. Went for lunch at a local beach bar. Was packed. Then on Father's Day, me and a few local dads had the families over at our pool and BBQ'd. Hot day, but gorgeous Florida weather. So I wasn't able to be online fretting over this like you.
But, I present to you The Bad Cat as my response.
One of the primary criteria for re-opening is that hospitals must have 30% of their beds including ICU available to deal with the pandemic. Anything above 70% utilization means that there is a critical shortage of hospital beds in a state to deal with COVID-19.
Anyone complaining that "only 75% of the hospital beds are occupied" simply does not get it.
