You cant blame him. The Ukraine war supporters are able to send billions of dollars worth of weapons and military equipment. The defense contractors make a fortune from it and the politicians who support it get huge kickbacks. There is not a major US military presence on the ground so they dont even have to worry about US soldiers coming home in body bags so it all reward with almost no risk.
Of course it is the American worker who ends up footing the bill so that defense contractors and politicians can get rich but they will never tell you any of that.

Speaking of flags as I was, I found on the family archive of military funeral flags and other trappings going back to before the US was founded. One that has 47 stars. I doubt @wildchild's family were even in the country as late as that and certainly he has to google to know why it's probably the rarest flag.
