Perhaps you are an introvert. I will tell you a story that may describe your life.

A physicist, and engineer and a mathematician were discussing their love lives.

The physicist said: "It's a good idea I'm intelligent, because it means I can remember the lies I tell my wife when I'm off with my mistress. She knows no different."

The engineer said, "I just tell the wife that I have an old boiler to maintain, and off I go with my mistress. She knows no different."

The mathematician said, "Both my wife and my mistress know about each other. No worries. Each of them thinks I'm with the other, whereas in fact I'm sitting on my own in a room getting some math done."

PROBLEMS on this planet.

If you making $XXX,XXX to $Z,ZZZ,ZZZZ a year trading and live in USA, you should be happy. That is enough money to go have some sex with women and buy some nice cars and nice house, right?? Go hunting, take a woman shopping. eat some good steak every weekend, drive nice car. go sex some women (young or old). Buy a dog.

Nah. Plenty of rich people who commited suicide or are generally miserable.

If you have a good attitude you can have an even better life with riches, sure. But you won't become happy from riches alone.

Lol I like your attitude man but we all end up wormfood, until i can figure out how to make the dna replication errors go away cause evolution half-assed it all. One reason I feel bad about feeling bad is because by many measures I am much better off financially than a huge portion of the population but I get no good feelings from seeing others less fortunate though they probably have very fulfilling lives I don't know about or something . I went thru a period where I could barely walk and had no money at all , and somehow that felt more real to me than the relative comfort I have now. So yeah people say if I got this and that I should be happy it never feels that way. And gold diggers disgust me and I got tired of strippers , so I just do my math hobbies and make art and stuff , would be nice to share it with others and get some positive feedback but not many people are impressed by the geometric features of quantum field theory even tho it describes reality..

Usually that happens to people who have been rich their entire lives. Going from poor to wealth is a generally healthy thing. I think what people do with that wealth is what causes a problem. Spending the money on something that is not truly meaningful in your life won't solve the problem.

Anyone making/earning $200K to $X,XXX,XXX a year is NOT unhappy. And if they are, they stupid.

As I said before, I can only speak for myself, and I am making $200K to $X,XXX,XXX per year, especially trading, man I will be HAPPY as Fuuucccckkkk. I would not have 1 compliant in this world.

I honestly can not even think of a problem I would have making that much a year. I seriously can not think of a problem, honestly.

Your entire post seems very negative and one where you blame external factors. People shoveling food in their face shouldn't affect you in any way.

Depression is usually an internal thing. It's very easy to think this or that is the cause of your depression. It can have many causes.

I've been severly depressed once. Mostly because I burned out due to a severe workload/lack of sleep and was going through some kind of existential crisis without going too much in detail on that.

Things that helped me was:

- Moderate excercise. Walks are fine if that's all your body can handle at the moment.
- Healthy diet
- Healthy supplements (unsure about this one today, but high doses of omega 3 and vitamin D is likely beneficial against depression)
- Sunlight
- Only watching positive stuff on TV, books, etc.
- Listening to calm music. Classical stuff for me.
- Affirmations, being positive, controlling my thoughts, etc. Even if it feels fake initially.

Great advice. I would like to add

- Meditation- Start off with whatever time you can and build from there. It helps with internal turmoil tremendously
- Practice Gratitude- Keep a gratitude journal- add 3 things daily you are grateful for.
- Volunteer - Give of your time to those who need help. This gives you purpose if you don't feel you have currently and it shows you real reasons why we should be grateful.

My mom suffered from depression all her life so I know its not easy and I wish you the best. Good luck

-1 papa. I'd say people that make tons of money are more depressed than those who are poor. Why? people who are poor don't have time to be depressed, period. Again the happiest people on earth I've met are usually very poor.
