Perhaps the US can bring in voter ID but at the same time...
Maybe it is necessary to have a voting aptitude for the elderly? Once over 70 you have to prove you can still think. A major problem in this world is old people being easily influenced by scam artists and con-men's tricks. Simple ageing means the mind goes, in very many quite a lot are very to partially dementia.
Not reasonable to have churches busing nursing homes and other grey vote to vote when the churches now have political campaign rights.

Russia is full of monsters, you can't have that many purges without natural selection in the elite creating a bias in the remaining intelligent towards an amoral survivor world view.

Trump gets a PR boon (wasted 80% of it) with N-K because Putin supplied Kim with R250 or R251 rocket engines creating a minor but conceivable threat to the US? Enough to warrant calls of peace at any price or nuclear war.
Those rockets are not domestic, the South Koreans said so definitively that the scores and probably years of rocket testing required to create a domestic engine, even if reverse engineered, never occurred. It was a sudden jump. Also the rocket bells as seen from N-K PR videos and performance are comparable.
So the engines are Russian, passed directly or via Iran. Putin assisted in the proliferation of missile tech as a blackmail move and is being rewarded for it.

People under 30 have to take a test to prove they can think at all on their own. Here's a sample question. Do you think a male human being can become a female human being simply because he puts on a dress, gets breast implants? Here's another, and maybe we just need this one all by itself. Do you think a "free" government program is actually free? I like the idea. I'd be curious how you would test us old geezers. Oh, and in all seriousness, tax them fucking churches. They play politics, they pay to have their opinion heard just like the rest of us heathens.

That could world. Thirty year olds are typically mature enough to have tempered the idealism of their youth. The fifty something's are old enough to know old age is around the corner and will not abandon the elders. The forty something's will have children of military age so they should give pause to sending them off to frivolous wars. Some out of the box thinking is required because the lunatic fringes are gumming up the works for sure. Maybe we just need politicians with enough courage to tell their respective fringe base to STFU, and a media not so hell bent on stoking the fire just to get ratings.
