As a general rule 95% of talking heads give worthless advice ... maybe even 98%. Every time I've seen this guy it occurs to me that he may be worst of a horrible lot. Moron is not too strong a description of him.
He really is that bad. Surf was in his league in so far as doing the absolutely worst thing at the worst possible time. Someone told me a few months back that Gartman had once given decent advice...So it appears that this market (in its current state) generates liquidity off of constantly trapping the "Gartman's" of the world...(i.e. those who enter on "confirmation" or some other ridiculously obvious set-up).
(In 1989, it's very possible that his above advice would have been worthwhile...These are "modern markets").
