That certainly is not even remotely in the cards for the November election. And in regard to 2024, the party is not going to implode with or without Trump. If Trump is not the nominee, Ron DeSantis and two or three others will also be highly competitive. Meanwhile, no one - even among the dems- can name a single person who comes to mind for 2024 so it is back to 2020 where they went through 30 candidates and Biden was the best they had.
There is no implosion of the republican party going on. They will increase power this November considerably when they take the House, minimum. Senate is more iffy. And they have strong candidates for 2024 while the dems are going in circles begging Biden and Kamala not to run.
Nothing is assured for anyone, but if a democrat is thinking that the republican party is "imploding" they are greatly out of touch with what is going on- not only with the republicans but with problems in their own party. If they had some good candidates they would not be playing stupid games down at Mar-A-Largo to try to eliminate their competition. They are all in a panic about their own party- and don't even remotely think the republicans are imploding. But it is okay if they do.
