Demoncrats raid Mar-A-Largo to stop Trump because they do not have a candidate

So, things are looking good for the dems in November then?

With almost 1/2 the country believing in the Big Lie, it’s difficult to forecast. It’s also true that DT bounces back from scandals that would have ended most other’s ambitions.

I’m anticipating a lot of plot twists as the sworn truth comes out through due process.

But you have forecast "the implosion...of the party."

That certainly is not even remotely in the cards for the November election. And in regard to 2024, the party is not going to implode with or without Trump. If Trump is not the nominee, Ron DeSantis and two or three others will also be highly competitive. Meanwhile, no one - even among the dems- can name a single person who comes to mind for 2024 so it is back to 2020 where they went through 30 candidates and Biden was the best they had.

There is no implosion of the republican party going on. They will increase power this November considerably when they take the House, minimum. Senate is more iffy. And they have strong candidates for 2024 while the dems are going in circles begging Biden and Kamala not to run.

Nothing is assured for anyone, but if a democrat is thinking that the republican party is "imploding" they are greatly out of touch with what is going on- not only with the republicans but with problems in their own party. If they had some good candidates they would not be playing stupid games down at Mar-A-Largo to try to eliminate their competition. They are all in a panic about their own party- and don't even remotely think the republicans are imploding. But it is okay if they do.

You have interwoven the future of Trump and Jan 6 and the current and future status of the Republican party. Those are separate issues. I think I covered that a bit. I don;t have to sort out all of the January 6 stuff to form an opinion that the Republican party is not "imploding" as alleged. There are other candidates in the mix. And the dems also have far greater problems.

The various congressional players asking for pardons are not an issue for me one way or the other or the party. I will say though, that we continue to see witchhunting by government- as with this Mar-A-Largo scenario and with the Russian collusion hoax so I do not assume that a request for a pardon for crimes during a period of service- alleged or real- is an admission of any guilt. No, lots of people have reason to fear that they will targeted by Trumps political opponents just for bein associated with Trump. We have seen lots of that.

In regard to Trump and the false elector thing, not an issue for me. If he is at trial on it, then it will get sorted out or defended there. If he runs for office, those who don't like and believe his allegations are free to vote for someone else. Democrats often fail to understand that as much as the beltway and lefty media has been totally focused on Jan 6 for months, that lots of people have moved on and assume that if the government has cases it wants to bring, then go for it. Maybe set up a commission to study the Biden payments from China or something new.

Liz Cheney had her time in the sun and had her fun and got hollywood produced hearing to vent her butthurt over Trump. That's fine. It is currently August 9. On August 12, Liz Cheney is going to be voted out of office. That's fine too. Plenty of time to watch re-runs of the January 6 hearings. Right on schedule, as the Jan 6 circus hearings wind down, surprise, surprise, the dems create a new circus down at Mar-A-Largo. The voters see what is going on. Many anyway.

Maybe Merrick Garland will appoint Andrew McCabe as an independent counsel to bring some clarity to this matter.

Right now the DC office that got the Trump search warrant is being run by the guy who headed the Detroit office that ran the investigation (also created the fake crime with fed agent plants) of Gretchen Whitmore's fake abduction.
