You really don’t have to defend this guy anymore. We know the documents were the highest level of secret. You downplaying it as merely “confidential” at this point is just embarrassing. I can’t think of a bona fide argument to defend him at this point beyond Trump must have some kind of brain damage.

Show me where I have done that. ie. saying the documents were only classified as confidential.

No one knows what the documents classification are at this point. A documents classification is not determined by previous stamps or marks on them. Trump maintains that he declassified whole categories of documents and that those included. It is in dispute until more information is added into the mix and most likely will be an issue at trial if there were to be one.

Legal process comes into play here, not just how you feel, although we know that is the lib way.

None of the statutes in the search warrant require the material to be any level of classification for a violation.

The FBI know some of the records were SCI level classified. Whether you can process that is another matter:

That may be. But legal aspects are only one dimension of this circus. The other of course is the media and dem circus getting everyone to breath into the paper bag while reciting "top secret" and "espionage" in which case my comments apply. ie remains to be seen what's what.

Also, I had asked in my post above for you to show me where I said these documents were just "confidential." I said it is in dispute or undetermined. Show me where I said that so that I can see what I was saying. If you can, I mean. If you just pulled it out of your arse then just say that.

Trump is arguing he declassified the documents in his head but didn’t notify anyone. The legality is something that will have to be argued out but as mentioned above it’s a moot argument considering the statutes cited.

What should be apparent to anyone with a brain is Trump is a major national security threat.
