Really. The CDC did not recommend mask wearing at the start of the pandemic. Now it does. You are either misinformed or making that up.

But when the "experts" we should be listening to say one thing, and then soon after immediately flip flop, following the recommendation isn't really about the science as much as it is about obedience. And not everyone is going to be as obedient as you, or as obedient as you want them to be.

it is not about obedience,,, masks have been worn for infectious diseases for 200 hundred years.... no one is asking you to bow down and give up your child....just wear a mask for a virus that is spread through your breath and saliva.

If masks have been worn for 200 hundred years (they haven't, at least not in a public setting and on a mass scale) why did the CDC, the preeminent authority in health and communicable diseases in the United States, prior to April, say that masks weren't effective and then suddenly, that they were?

They stated that N95 masks were not effective in public because most people don't know how to use them. N95 masks should be used in hospitals by people who really need them.
