Ah, but it is the "rules" that are the problem here. When I don't follow the "rule" that says when I get up from a booth in the restaurant to walk 3 feet to the door before going outside, does that make COVID spread more? Markedly more?
What about when a playground outside is closed, but a school across the street is open? Is that a rule that, if I break and go to the playground, I aid in the spread of COVID while at the same time don't when I go to the school?
What about outdoor dining in California? A place on one side of the street is forced to close because of COVID, but a political eatery holding a banquet on the other side of the street is allowed to remain open - this does not cause COVID?
Are all rules just? Or are they just rules?
Yes the rules are pretty clear on social distancing, wearing masks, washing hands, avoiding large gatherings that do not follow the guidelines, staying home if you are sick or test positive.
It is pretty simple but Americans lack comprehension.
For example, in a school, done right, there are safeguards in place. In a playground, there is no oversight or adherence to rules, people do what they want and since they cannot listen and behave, the playground might have to be closed. Kids can play outside in the school grounds like they do now.
You are complaining about humans applying the rules irregularly which is human error....
But simple CDC guidelines can stop the spread but at least 50% of this country does not really give a shit so we will ahve COVID for another year most likely.
