Please explain how the defund movement that you support is supposed to work.
When did I say I supported it? I'm pro better psychological and non-lethal training.
I'm against police departments looking like and being equipped as military to profit the arms industry as I believe they should be projecting a community protection role, not the ED-209 look of enforcement.
I have worked in a para law enforcement role and I worked on many contracts for the UK police. I get a lot of the day to day. I would do one thing defunding wise and that is to break the link between tickets and departmental funding when it is gone too far. It is a bad practice making ordinary people into revenue streams. Cops on ticket targets are bad policing.
