Democrats urge Trump to halt border wall construction during pandemic

Democrats concerned their voters are being denied entry into the US. This is one part of the lockdown where it makes 100,000% sense. Lockdown the US borders except, for qualified doctors and nurses immigrating to the US.
 
In just about every state currently - construction and trades (HVAC, etc.) workers are considered essential workers. The COVID-19 crisis has done nothing to slow down the construction of new homes in sub-divisions near my house. They are out there every day pounding away with hammers and sawing. The only difference now is some are wearing face masks.

If construction workers are considered essential then there is no reason for them to stop building the wall.

Considering hardly any wall is even being built Trump should take this offer and blame Dems.
