A case can be made for green card holders who are not citizens and have been here and in the economy for a while.

But, without reading the article, I am going to guess she is referring to illegals- what the lefty americans call undocumented and the lefty canadians call "entered irregularly."

Truth be known, she favors cash relief for illegals who do not even reside in this country and have never even been here. Yeh sure, we should be providing cash relief for people in el salvador so that they can have funds to come here illegally.

To clarify she is referring to tax paying immigrants with taxpaying IDs but not SS#s.

She has a point.
“To clarify, $1200 checks are ONLY going to some w/social sec numbers, NOT immigrants w/ tax IDs (ITINs),” she wrote following the Senate’s unanimous 96-0 approval of the bill,” adding, “Thanks to GOP, these checks will be cut off the backs of *taxpaying immigrants,* who get nothing.”:

Don't believe the Fake News that she is asking for government handouts to illegal immigrants with no status at all... If they are paying taxes then they are funding the bailouts to banks and airlines and cruise ship companies.

I don't follow what you are saying based on how you or she laid it out.

She wants or does not want payments to go to illegals who just have itins and are here illegally or "undocumented?" With no social security number.

She is saying that immigrants here with taxpayer IDs who are working and paying taxes should be as eligible as anyone else to receive the payments funded from taxpayers. If foreign based cruise companies and fortune 500 companies who engaged in share buybacks are getting taxpayer money why not everyone who is working and paying taxes and feeling the pain of the shutdown. She is not saying they should get it OVER citizens, just along with them.

Taxper IDs pay taxes just like those with SS# by the way...they pay SS taxes and state and local income taxes as well

ITIN holders are not eligible for all of the tax benefits and public benefits that U.S. citizens and other taxpayers can receive. For example, an ITIN holder is not eligible for Social Security benefits or the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).

SO they pay taxes but do not get the same tax benefits as other taxpayers. But why not allow them to collect the handouts Congress and Trump are giving to everyone since they are in teh same position.

She wants illegals to be able to get the cash relief benefits based on having an itin and without any legal temporary status.

I understand that they pay taxes. However, their reward is the government not deporting them and them being allowed to take advantage of our social programs. They should not get any other government money.
