Generally I agree with the Bern that we should not be giving corporations money without some serious oversight and certain provisions. What I don't know for certain is just who is getting the checks to assist people during this "crisis". IMO the only people that should receive this assistance are people who have directly lost their jobs due to this. If everyone in the country is getting a check that is nuts and should not be done.
Just so you understand the globalist agenda of the DNC

Coronavirus Stimulus Offered By House Financial Services Committee Creates New Digital Dollar
Both Speaker Pelosi’s ‘Take Responsibility for Workers and Families Act’ and the ‘Financial Protections and Assistance for America’s Consumers, States, Businesses, and Vulnerable Populations Act (H.R. 6321),’ introduced by Chairwoman Maxine Waters of Financial Services Committee, introduced these concepts today as a way of delivering the economic stimulus payments to U.S. citizens.

Politicians are definitely in treacherous waters these days- both sides.
You see the daily drumbeat from the tards about how testing was delayed so that is allegedly going to be their weapon of choice in November.
But there is a long way to go and there will be much more to unpack. There will be lots of reminders to all the people who lost their jobs, businesses, etc about the delays by the dems in passing a bill and all the junk in it that could have actually helped them instead. And trump will and is taking massive heat for daring to talk about keeping the economy up and running and re-opening things as soon as possible. In the end, the republicans will counter the dems little allegation about being slow to test with allegations about how the dems hate the private sector and were slow to re-open the economy thinking that the government would take care of them.
Going to get ugly.
Many businesses won't survive this. Some are already down the drain. I too think it's something we can do is spend at local small business when they open up again. Having been a small business owner myself in years past I know the pain of watching it go down the drain. I had a small pet store back in the 80's before the big box stores were even around. Nice little business. Wasn't ever going to get rich, but it was fun. Fell apart when the big boys came to town and that was that. Most customer loyalty only goes so far. You can give better service, but in the end it's about the dollar for most people. I have always shopped small business when I can. I have never even been in a Wal-Mart. Lots of hopes and dreams are going up in smoke over this.If I do get a check I would be more than happy to go spend it on gift cards at local restaurants and support local economy. Just giving everyone money is not always the answer when certain parts of the country or certain sectors need it really bad. People I know who own business are already starting layoffs...
