This is the kind of shit that upsets the fuck out of people:
The mandate, set forth by Contra Costa County District Attorney Diane Becton, makes it tougher to prosecute looting cases in the county, which sits just outside San Francisco.
Investigators must now consider “was this theft offense substantially motivated by the state of emergency, or simply a theft offense which occurred contemporaneously to the declared state of emergency?,” according to local outlet East County Today.
In making that determination, they must also consider five other factors, including “was the theft committed for financial gain or personal need?”
What in the ever loving fuck is going on here....this is not Robin Hood stealing bread to feed a family....

Listen up Dems.....if you self-castrate your balls and do not speak up, it will cost you the election. Because no matter how bad some swing voters and independents might think Trump is, they will hate Dems even more if they are looking for excuses to not put people who steal in jail. Biden said looting and destruction of property is NOT protesting and 100% everyone would agree. Now you want to give those who did it a free pass?
I can see them saying they will not spend hours and hours reviewing video to go hunt down people who are seen on TV going into target to steal a Lego set. I get it....will entail way too much manpower and paperwork and they already missed the boat on stopping it in the first place.
But if people were actually caught in the act, then lighten the sentences or force COMMUNITY SERVICE to fix what was destroyed....

Actually not true. I believe the first civil unrest in the 20th century was not political...it was ethnic riot...whites against Sikhs.
Overall in the world, riots or civil unrest has been the norm since 44 BC.

Why are riots and civil unrest "normal"? Wouldn't it be more normal to not have riots and civil unrest? The BLM "movement" is not normal at all. Not even one bit.
The norm is different than "normal". The norm implies that society overall has used riots to over throw governments, start wars, take land or whatever including societies that have so called elections. The latter they don't wait for the elections because they view elections as corrupt while others want to send a loud message to the controlling government as it goes out the door to make sure it understands it wasn't liked.
I'm not a historian but I think most riots have not been political and not even Republicans against Democrats. I think most have been labour or ethnic riots.
By the way, America (colony) has a strong history with civil unrest starting with what the Indigenous population did (massacre) the English Colony.
Maybe in some ways, one can say riots and civil unrest are in the DNA of Americans.
