Corey Booker would have actually been a decent president in my eyes, he seemed like a guy whose thought process was based in logic, even though i disagreed with him 90% of the time, but these days the only way to get to the top is by chucking rhetorical bombs.

The way the democratic party works these days, the winner is just going to be a matter of who can claim they are the biggest victim.

Believe it or not, i have many debates on a daily basis, with people whose opinion i HIGHLY respect, regardless of whether or not i agree with it.

I dont necessarily disagree with the thought on Holder, i definitely think dems will run a black person, like its a shoe in the way the liberal movement is headed, Joe Biden has 0 chance as an old white dude..... but id guess Kamala Harris, or Corey Booker, if i had to guess.....

Agreed! Old white guy for anything is probably a no go for the dems. No surprise there. Politcis has taken a hard turn in either direction you choose and there's no real point in debating who went first or the farthest. It's where we are and that's that.
Sadly, there is now no place for the true independents to go, let alone libertarians. The country is and will now be governed by what the most extremist elements want. We can argue with each other day and night about who is more extreme. If one leans right, then the left is more extreme, and conversely the person leaning left will say the right has gone off the charts. The minds are closed, decisions have been made, absolute certainty has been achieved by both parties. Logical debate and any sense of objectivity is gone. Not good for the country long term.

You mean soldiers? Those soldiers aren't from the states where the base is. Almost all of them are transferred there - and then out again as they are rotated. Do you know how military bases work?

Any contractors hired get jobs, if they are locally hired, then great. But they also pay taxes.

We directly elect or presidents, unlike parliamentary systems that have to form a government. Our structure ensures a two party system. There is no place for independents.

I dont necessarily disagree........ but hes "Old and White" thts like the "cardinal sin" in the democratic party these days,

no chance on Biden. id bet my life against him, in this scenario.

Yeah, that's what I was saying when I typed:

"You could argue there is slight increased economic activity, but you'd then have to include any federal infrastructure and other projects as well. It's not welfare."

Additionally, your link points to pension payments as economic activity, which is fine. Do you consider pension payments welfare?? That's like including Social Security in welfare considerations, which is ridiculous.
