Democrat Way!

Quote from Ricter:

Fair enough. At least you have a good reason for your bad mood today, unlike me! Anyway, maybe the congressman had just seen a video that ticked him off, or maybe the kid did, or both? Anyway, "democrat way" is, to put it nicely, an overstatement.

Democrat Way was a silly title. This is arrogant politician style. Just happens to be a democrat in the situation.

Why not? Your responses are fairly predictable. This site is about pattern recognition, is it not?

YOUR responses are usually predictable.

I merely commented on a video i saw. You're normally a rather quick individual. Today you're lacking.

You are correct. I had a quick look at your posts in this thread, and I was out of line in your individual case. Just that the Right is usually so interchangeable. You know, pretty much the same uniforms marching in lockstep fashion. I got lazy. My mistake.

Well, unless the kid was a liberal thug making a verbal threat, in which case he would deserve a good beating.

Nice stereotyping, I thought the leftist kooks are typically against this?

No one deserves a "good beating".

Tell that to the good captain.

...giving one of these bastards the beating they deserve. Not me! I admitt to not having the courage of my convictions on this issue. The overwhelming majority are in the same camp and the scum in D.C. know it. But one day, some guy that's lost it all, has nothing left to lose will snap, and then I will salute that man and throw a f'n party in his honor...
Quote from CaptainObvious:

...which is exactly what most of these bastards need, a really good beatdown.

Thank you. I appreciate that.

Please understand. I lean right, and I am conservative. I am also a republican voter in most cases. But I am not blind and I will just as quickly jump a Republican or Conservative (sometimes not the same thing, sadly) for a misstep.

Cheers.

For the record, I also feel the kid was well with in his right to defend himself physically. Although, he made that right decision in not doing so.

Perhaps better to say

(yeah, once in a while they are the same thing)

Hell, I can think of a hundred people that would benefit from a good, old fashioned ass whipping. I'm not talking death and destruction, just a couple good smacks in the chops. Fat lip, bloody nose style that sends em' home to momma', head hanging low.

Gotta love this headline...notice a failing to mention how the congressman slapped/knocked the camera and the "is edited", so it may not be real innuendo:

NC Congressman Attacked For Grabbing Man’s Neck In Internet Video

A North Carolina Congressman is taking some heat over a viral Internet video that shows him grabbing the neck and wrist of a man in Washington, D.C.

The video, posted by StageRightShow on YouTube, is edited. It is less than one minute long.

In it, at least two men attempt to ask U.S. Rep. Bob Etheridge (D-Lillington) a question. He responds by asking who they are, and holding one man's wrist. He is later seen grabbing the man around the neck.

It is not clear who the men in the video and the photgrapher are; they only identify themselves as "students."

Congressman Etheridge will hold a press conference at 2:30 p.m. He also released the following statement:

"I have seen the video posted on several blogs. I deeply and profoundly regret my reaction and I apologize to all involved. Throughout my many years of service to the people of North Carolina, I have always tried to treat people from all viewpoints with respect. No matter how intrusive and partisan our politics can become, this does not justify a poor response. I have and I will always work to promote a civil public discourse."
