Democrat Voters: Please tell me why Trump wouldn't be a great President

Because he wants to cut social security no he wants to leave it alone. He wants to raise taxes no he wants to cut taxes. He wants to build a great big beautiful wall, no not that big, it's "subject to negotiation". He wants to exclude all Muslims no he wants to exclude only some. He wants to deport all illegal immigrants with a massive roundup no he wants to deport some "subject to negotiation". He thinks wages are too high, no he thinks wages are too low. He accepts bad relations with our allies and accepts applause from our enemies. There's no drought in California. He's worth over $10 billion and that's why he should be president... oops! Romney should have released his tax reports months ago but his are none of your business. He's got to hit everyone who slights him in the least "ten times harder" than they hit him. He gave millions to our vets and that's why you should vote for him, no, he was going to give millions to our vets, just hand him a pen, hurry. He did not pose as a PR man named John Miller, no he did pose as a PR man named John Miller (and John Barron). Trump University was legit, check the video from Trump University proving it.

a rare find in recent months... a legitimate argument raised by a progressive... the first one I have seen here in weeks. I don't think all the points you made were fair... but the overall concern is real.

Thank you, sort of. I honestly feel for the right today, you guys are in a terrible position. And I feel for Trump. I don't think he actually wants the job, but he's trapped by his ego now and can't let go, like the Polynesian monkey trap, and he's going to be humiliated if he loses and miserable if he wins.
 
So with hillary or biden or gore or Jeb we can be certain we would be screwed by the cronies as they extract more wealth but tell us things will be better... with Trump things could not be any worse and they could easily be better.

Most of Ricters criticism is unfair.

It's been said many times, the president isn't a dictator. That's exactly why trump doesn't offer ironclad guarantees. Everything is subject to negotiation to get it passed. This isn't a corporate shill candidate like Hillary, Obama or GW who can ram through unanimous legislation on the backs of their lemmings in congress. Trump is antithetical to everyone in the house and senate so rightfully expects big opposition to his agenda. Do the math. He's a pragmatist. A realist. A doer. Not a blabber.

Also consider that any candidate or president has to negotiate with their party and the other side for support depending on the initiative. This is nothing new. Obama has done it hundreds of times. Why is the left pretending like Donald trump is the first guy to negotiate policy? Because they're playing politics and or extremely stupid

All you're saying here is that where formerly you were fired up by Trump's unequivocal positions you are now ok with his equivocating. And keep in mind we're not merely talking about equivocating, in many cases Trump is making complete reversals. In short, you're just as indoctrinated as anyone on the left.
