That is a world class non-answer. Doesn’t change the fact that most of the guns in Chicago are legally purchased in Indiana.

Let's say the USA as a whole adopted draconian gun laws. Modifying your sentence; this line in the future could possibly be read as "USA has draconian gun laws and is flooded with uncontrolled guns from Mexico, China and Russia"????

Drugs are illegal in the USA yet many people seem to have access to cocaine, meth..ect..ect...

Does this mean nothing should be done? No. Something should be done, I am not saying that guns should be taken away but this is out of control. We don't see Grenade and Bazooka attacks in the USA because it is difficult to ACCESS them.

I am for tough immigration standards and I am also for tough standards on assault riffle ownership.

If you remove the guns from gang members in Chicago will they suddenly become peaceful? No, but their weapons will be downgraded back no knives, bats and fists. The higher level drug dealers will still find a way to get a gun.

You have gunsmiths in the Philippines that can make a good hand gun from scraps of metal. Imagine how much easier it would be in the USA with 3D Printing methods and easy access to CNC lathes and materials. I think people will still find a way to make automatic weapons.

Much tougher screening and background checks and mental health evaluation must be in-place to own any type of weapon.
