The elections in Egypt show Islamists recieving about 65% of the vote.

It will be interesting to see if Egypt and Libya make it on to our list of terrorist sponsor countries in the next decade.

Of course, it probably won't matter since there will most likely be a nuclear exchange in that region within 10 years or so.

Democracy doesnt work very well with an uneducated superstitious populace. they can be lead to vote against their own best interests.

look at who we are about to elect. republicans have promised to eliminate the social safety net, while cutting taxes for the rich, if they are elected.
they cant do it without getting the very people who would be hurt by eliminating those programs to vote for them. it looks like by using skillful manipulation through fear mongering through fox news and the like they just might accomplish the feat of getting people to vote against their own best interests and put the same people back in power that destroyed the economy in the first place.
