Demo Forex

Each broker they have different policies regarding the demo account, in my broker demo account is unavailable for a micro account, but the minimum deposit micro account is low $1.

That's a contradiction in terms.

Guys, look. Demo trading is good for one thing only. That is to learn your trading platform, it's coinkydinks and foibles.

But the only way you are going to be able to test your true trading meddle is in the real money account.

So start small, as radex suggest. Go your micro FX lots. Deposit $100, and trade small. Over time you will figure out what kind of trader you are without blowing your entire savings account. As you get better, scale up! It's not that hard.

If Forex is anything like futures, you will find seasonality in the FX. Over time, you will learn the patterns that generally stick during those periods. Work on recognizing those, and you will do great!
 
It’s hard to say if I would have been able to trade in the live market, had I not demo traded for one good month. It gave me the basic idea of the live market conditions and what it means to actually trade. Having the basic education was just for theoretical knowledge and for practical training, demo accounts are good.
 
@Overnight I am with you on this. Demo trading is must but a prolonged use of a demo account makes it hard for traders to adapt themselves to market conditions. It’s good to shift to a real account with small capital as soon as possible. One can see benefits from capital gains in the form of a small pip profit over time and can grow your account with these funds.
 
Demo could be the way to learn about Forex Market infrastructure and its procedure, but to learn Forex in the real sense you have to enter into the real Forex Market.
 
There are no consequences in demo trading... sometimes live trading may be a better teacher in regards to learning how to trade. That is not to say demos are bad.
 
Well, demo forex is good for practice and testing, editing and creating your personal trading strategies, nevertheless it also can bring harm to you. It's kinda tough to believe in this fact, however it's a real truth. The maind idea is that novices are getting used to trade on demo and they can't make themselves to start off real trading, because of a real fear of losing money. They got used that they don't lose money and just earn them, that's why their psychology tells them that it's the best option, but if they transfer to a real account, they start losing money. Hence, people should stay on demo no long than couple of months.
