Demo Forex

Six months is standard practice in a demo account, the reason is many traders fail and cannot maintain account more than six months, some trader use demo account more than a year.

The free version of the demo account and which is offered with normal brokers gives a very good basis to start on a real account

Demo account always required for many traders especially new trader, sometimes experienced trader uses demo account to backtest any strategy or trading robot.

Not just Demo, after that you should also invest in small intervals in real market to get better knowledge about the same. Later when you feel confident, you could invest more.

honestly speaking i never found any guy who acquired most powerful any knowledge from demo account , actually no real money on there , so we cant focus on there.

Demo trading is just to know the structure of the Forex Market and about how to do the trading, but you could never learn to earn. The best way to learn about Forex is to get involved in it. After Demo, it is too much imperative to do small investments sp that you could learn more about the Forex Market.

A demo account is a starting point for any new trader. That is why all the practice is done or at least I thought. These days, new traders just jump in to a live account the moment they know where the open and close buttons are. You are better off with a demo account for the first three months at least.

Demo Forex account is essentially a virtual trading platform where you can buy and sell various currencies without risking real money. In providing this service, Forex brokers replicate live online Forex trading within a test environment where no trade actually gets sent to the market. There is a slight caveat to this. In a true ECN market environment, trades will not necessarily be executed at the requested price you see in the electronic trading platform. This is because there is always a time lag between the time you trigger your trade, and the moment it actually reaches the bank on the other side of your Forex trade. In live trading, this is referred to as slippage, which may be favorable to you or go against you. This is fully expected, and under normal market conditions, won't be noticeable. Over the long-term, and when trading with a true ECN broker, slippage is likely to be in your favor and may help you accumulate substantial savings.

Indeed. There are pros and cons to demo trading, I would say mainly pros for people looking to get accounts funded. Cons do include subpar pricing, spreads, etc which of course depends on the broker.
