Demo account with real account experience

Both trading accounts call for various trading strategies. Demo accounts are still useful despite the fact that you can't take risks with them. Demo accounts function best in terms of skill development. Utilize them to improve your trading abilities. You can later switch to a live trading account.
 
A demo account can give experience, but success in a demo account does not mean success also in the real trading account, there are so many factors that cause failure in real trading although get success in demo trading, one of them about psychology, trading server, slippage, etc.


Agree, a real account means no mistakes. The psychology changes allot especially if it is your primary source of income. Market orders sometimes do not complete at the precise moment hit the key. The nanoseconds can mean trading strategy has to change on the fly.
Just as an exersize I went really old school to a bank and traded at the bank desk. I would recomend this to any new FX trader just to how far the system has come.

Agreed, a demo account has its own ways of making us learn various trading skills because of the liberty of risk, and in real accounts we can apply them once we get our trading abilities improved.
 

Keeping a demo account along with a live account is a great way to backtest your strategies and methodologies before using it on live to ensure the usefulness of the new approach.



 

It is up to the individual whether to maintain both accounts or not. The main distinction between the two is that real accounts allow you to trade with actual money, whereas demo accounts only allow trading with virtual money.
