A demo account can give experience, but success in a demo account does not mean success also in the real trading account, there are so many factors that cause failure in real trading although get success in demo trading, one of them about psychology, trading server, slippage, etc.
I hard agree demo is only good to learn how to open your trade or test out a strategy. It's much more beneficial to open a real micro/cent account instead to start live trading so you can check out the trading condition from a broker and also prepare your mentality when trading with real money.
If you want to enjoy the real trading experience, then you should go for a real account. If you can’t risk too much money, then you can trade a micro account or cent account, which allows you to trade with a very little amount. A demo account is a practice account, which gives you a decent insight into the working of a trading platform, so you can practice in it for a few days, then you’ll have to eventually move onto a real trading account.
Demo accounts do provide real account like experience, but yes, there won’t be the same kind of pressure trading in a demo account that you would have gotten by trading a live account.
