Demo account or Micro ?

The major difference I have noticed is our emotions, they are usually different with live account. So it's imperative to trade demo like you are trading real account, take it seriously.
 
To avoid losses, a new trader should always use a demo account. Before engaging in live trading, practice and understand the trading mechanics.

Yes exactly, every newbie trader should always first practice and learn on demo before switching to live account,
 
If you haven't extensively tested a strategy on a demo account then going to a micro account will just be a slower haemorrhage of your account than if it was a standard account.

This is so right, you can't afford to take too much risk as a newbie. You just have to take things slow and steady.
 
I think for a beginner demo account is a must to practice trading and for an experienced trader live account, as they are aware of all the trading fundamentals.
 
I think a better way to train yourself is trading on a micro account. You tend to take trading more seriously when real money is involved but before that it’s good to spend 2-3 weeks on a demo account to understand how the platform works.
 
Micro account is more suitable for traders with decent exposure to trading platforms. Traders who have completed their forex education must sign up for a demo account to get the hang of the trading platform and how trading actually works.
