What I meant (re: your op) was,
perhaps most/all Democrats do believe it originated from China;
but until someone asks,
"Mr./Ms. Democrat, do you now believe the virus originated from China?"
They may not just spontaneously blurt out an answer where there is no question.
Most Democrats know it matters little where the virus originated, that the important thing is dealing with it effectively now. As much as Americans think they can control countries like China and Iran, they can't. Now if a new virus eminates from China in the near future, then you just ban all travellers from China immediately until they can prove they have real safety measures that can be observed by international reps.
Trump despite having the virus himself is totally clueless about the risks and has been a one man super spreading machine for months. Not only did he hold crowded rallies in places like North Dakota that are now huge Covid hot spots, numerous family members, White House staff, secret service agents, and close confidants have contacted Covid.
