I ended up with a 44 brightness because I use a target of 140cd/m2 and they ended up with a 35 brightness because they used a target of 120cd/m2. Both of those targets are in the “normal” range. So you can see that the default brightness of 75 is blinding, while a 35 to 45 brightness is the usable range depending on personal preference.

I have a Dell IPS monitor side by side with the Dell 2408 and I feel like busting up the 2408 so I'm forced to buy a new IPS. There's no comparison. Once you see the difference, you will understand.

I recently bought 4 of these for only $225 each with no sales tax. I hope they turn out to be good for trading. I previously used low energy 17" AOPEN monitors.

How much of a discount would I have gotten were I to have bought directly from dell? Just curious...
