DELL 30" Ultra Sharp

What's the native resolution....I thought it was 2560 x 1600...and if so...doesn't running it at less then that create a less then ideal picture?

I have 24's and if I go anything other then 1920 x 1200, the picture isn't' nearly as good....but then again, the picture is awesome, so anything less then that bothers me.

looks fine to me. unless I'm missing something.

Can't wait to add the other 5 panels when the stand parts all get here.

Where did you order your stand parts from, Bandit?

Thanks,

I'd set your 30" to the native 2560x1600 (as mschey already mentioned), if I were you, and leave it there unless there's some incredibly compelling reason not to.

Right now, at 1920x1080, you're using only 50% of its optimal resolution and total screen RE. (Besides, your aspect ratio is off, 1.78 instead of 1.60.) Think of it as driving a Viper on 5 cylinders... it's still kinda fun, but, hey, come on...

Lol ... doesn't sound very fun to me, but ...

Yeah, I'd recommend running at native res as well. I've never seen an LCD that looks good at a non-native resolution. Certain people where I work have 20" widescreens running at 800x600 (yes, obviously wrong aspect ratio for widescreen), while I'm stuck with a 17" @ 1280x1024. Whenever I go to their PCs, I change the res while I'm working on it so as to not hurt my eyes from the blockiness.

who needs a 30" Dell?

build one of these at home. It is better.
