Dell 2005fpw

Quote from funnyman:

for a trader who spends 8-10 hrs a day in front of a screen, i would strongly suggest the 2001fp.

i use the highest resolution for the 2001fp and 2005fpw. The 2001fp offers more real estate on the 1600x1200 res. the 1905 only offers 1280x1024, i only use these for monitors mounted on the higher level so that i can read them easier.

Can you get used to the smaller fonts with the higher native resolution? I am older and notice I have to work hard on the smaller fonts. Most trading software is not compatile with the larger fonts.

Thanks for answering.

Samsung has a 21.3 inch for 579 at tigerdirect. That tops Dells 2001fp- an extra 1inch for $10 more? Any opinions on Samsungs Thanks

from my past experience, samsung has always made the highest quality lcd. usually a lot more expensive though. it will be a lot brighter so that's the original issue that was addressed. the dell 2001fp is $464 currently so its a $100 diff.

That Samsung 213T is a very, VERY nice monitor. I have Samsung and others (including Dells) 19"ers.... I prefer the Samsung... Dells are too bright even when the brightness is turned down to zero. (I use the Dells in my desktop for trading with the charts in a black background. For that, they are OK. But when viewing photos, they appear overly bright and somewhat washed out.)

Can the 1905FP be mounted?

Is this limited to one per customer?

This looks like a pretty good deal if can buy a bunch of them and get a multimount stand.

Yes, you just remove the pedestal stand... https://store.ergotron.com/mir/default.aspx,

No, but: "... the maximum quantity for a given item with online orders is 5 units.
To order more than this number, please call 800-761-3355 for personal assistance in placing large consumer orders."

It is a "pretty good deal" for trading.
