deleting threads?

I notice that i have no problem editing or creating threads in a 30 min window, however, whenever I decide to delete a thread i started, I do not get permission.

It says something like you do not have permission to delete this thread because you are not owner.

Yet, I have permission to modify it. Am i missing something?

The reason why we don't allow you to delete a thread you started is because the thread may contain many replies from other members, and those people may have put significant time and effort into those replies. So as joe mentioned, if you want a thread deleted, you'll need to let know why, and if it's not too big yet, we'll take care of it.
